Employment Opportunities

Our staff is a close knit, energetic, passionate, dedicated and all around fun crew.  You will find the quality of professional life at PAAL unparalleled to that of traditional private schools or of school districts.

PAAL is a specialty secondary-educational program for adolescents across the autism spectrum
between the ages of 14 and 21, which establishes a professional collaboration between the
educational system, families, and the community-at-large.  The primary goal of the PAAL
program is to identify and teach the skills which must be mastered to prepare the student for
their post-21 years.  Since best practices indicate that individuals with autism learn better in the
naturally-occurring environment, the program utilizes the community as its classroom.  By so
doing, the fundamental principles of transition and integration into the community for adult life
are supported. PAAL also provides services through the Consolidated, Person Family Driven and
Autism Waivers to graduates of the PAAL program. Professional staff oversee programming for
these adults during the regular PAAL school hours consistent with the PAAL clinical model.

Primary Components of our program:

  • School Day
  • ABA Based Programming in an Intensive Learning Environment
  • Entirely Community-Based Instruction
  • Curriculum and Learning Opportunities Specifically Tailored to the Defined Characteristics of Adult Life
  • Adaptive Physical Education
  • Emphasis on Pragmatic Communication
  • Sexuality Training
  • Home and Coordination
  • Life Skills/Respite Transition House

Competitive Salary and Benefits:

Comprehensive Package including healthcare (medical and dental), PTO, 401(k) retirement planning with company match, life insurance, short term disability including maternity coverage, stipend towards a gym membership, and robust professional development opportunities.

Why PAAL?

Clinical programming is truly individualized and driven by best practice and the state of the science in autism and ABA, not state initiatives.   We value our professional staff and invest in and rely upon their abilities, giving each behavior analyst ownership of their behavior analytic approach to behavior change. Compensation is not based on billable hours which encourages intellectual collaboration, staff oversight, and creativity in program development.
