Here’s an easy, cost-free way to contribute to MECA.  If you follow the directions below, iGive.com will send MECA a percentage of any purchases you make over the internet from certain stores.   It’s the stores who pay the percentage, not you, so you can help our kids without dipping into your wallet.  Pretty cool! You can even make a contribution to MECA through iGive.com without buying anything.  Just use the iGive.com search engine.  Every search you make earns a penny for MECA.  Those pennies really add up.  Here’s how to do it:

  1. Go to iGive.com by clicking this link.
  2. Register.  (IT’S QUICK, EASY, AND BEST OF ALL, FREE!)
  3. Follow the directions iGive.com gives to ensure that your puchases and searches result in MECA contributions.

Collecting Money “Canning” for PAAL/MECA:

Soliciting contributions at area businesses or “canning” can be an effective way to raise money for MECA’s programs.  Unlike more elaborate fundraisers, canning requires less preparation, fewer volunteer workers, and less expense.  It is possible for a small group of family members and friends to raise a considerable sum in a weekend!  Here are a few tips, should you decide to try this method.
